Goal 1:  Leadership and Collaboration – Each student executive will use appropriate leadership skills and behaviors and learn to collaborate to accomplish individual and organizational objectives.
  • Develop a vision that inspires follower involvement and excitement.
  • Apply the principles of motivation in a way that facilitates others’ meeting of task objectives.
  • Organize and lead a team to collective group accomplishment.
  • Develop an understanding of his or her personal leadership strengths and weaknesses and be able to leverage those in successful goal accomplishment.

Goal 2:  Communication – Each student executive will develop strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.

  • Organize a case analysis effectively.
  • Prepare an executive summary in an appropriate structure.
  • Organize a presentation effectively.
  • Prepare a presentation with good and appropriate content.
  • Produce high quality slides and handouts.
  • Exhibit good presentation skills.

Goal 3:  Core Knowledge – Each student executive will understand and apply basic concepts of the core areas of business and utilize the integration of this knowledge in strategic decision making.

  • Understand and apply basic concepts in accounting.
  • Understand and apply basic concepts in economics.
  • Understand and apply basic concepts in finance.
  • Understand and apply basic concepts in management.
  • Understand and apply basic concepts in marketing.
  • Understand and apply basic concepts in information technology.

Goal 4:  Critical Thinking, Analysis, and Problem Solving – Each student executive will develop skills enabling them to both create and evaluate potential solutions to business problems.

  • Appropriately frame business problems to identify relevant and important criteria for analysis.
  • Develop an effective strategy for solving the business problem.
  • Implement the strategy to create an effective solution to the business problem.
  • Effectively evaluate potential solutions to business problems.

Goal 5:  Technology - Each student executive will be technologically competent.

  • Illustrate proficiency while using common personal productivity applications, e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Illustrate proficiency while using Internet-related technologies to accomplish business-related research tasks.
  • Illustrate how information technology (I/T) can be applied for organizational advantages.
  • Illustrate the role for development or procurement of I/T-based business solutions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency for managing and adapting to changes brought about by evolving technologies.

Goal 6:  Global and Ethical Understanding- Each student executive will be able to understand, synthesize and analyze the implications of ethical and multicultural issues in the context of decision making in the global business environment.

  • Synthesize and analyze the implications of Globalization for the functional areas.
  • Trace trends in Globalization and anticipate possible future trends.
  • Quantitatively relate the effects of globalization.
  • Understand the role of ethical values and practice in organizations.
  • Apply ethical decision frameworks to business problems.
