Demonstrate an understanding of how changes in the external and internal business environments impact the functional areas of business.

Demonstrates a basic but limited understanding of how environmental changes impact the organization and what the implications of environmental change are for the graduate’s area of expertise.

Demonstrates an adequate understanding of the impact of environmental change on the organization and its functional areas, but has difficulty in devising creative solutions as to how the organization can exploit such changes.

Demonstrates a high level of understanding of the impact of environmental change on the organization and its functional areas.  Demonstrates creative thinking in how the environmental changes can be exploited by the functional areas in order to create or sustain competitive advantages.
